Group Therapy set out to create a one-of-a-kind entertainment destination in Fayetteville, NC—an immersive mini golf course paired with a restaurant that would stand apart through theme, creativity, and detail. With a vision to engage customers from floor to ceiling, the project required a complete transformation of the interior into a vibrant, whimsical, and fully themed environment.
The challenge: deliver an 18-hole golf experience with dynamic visual storytelling under tight timelines and evolving creative direction. Aesthetics were sourced and adapted on the fly, demanding flexibility, problem-solving, and coordination across multiple fabrication disciplines.
Britten’s event fabrication team brought the 18-hole mini golf concept to life through a combination of Foam3D™, woodwork, and 3D print, crafting an immersive themed environment from floor to ceiling. Custom sculpted foam props included massive sharks, dinosaurs, and dozens of other installations, while ceiling assets were installed first to set the tone for the space, supported by rigging and playful 3D-printed accents.
The team also handled complete construction of all 18 mini golf holes, framed with durable wooden borders, as well as pergolas, wooden walls, and surf-cut bendy board wood for curved graphic installations. Vertical interest came from plant boxes suspended overhead, while scenic decals, branded wallpaper, ceiling panels, and window graphics transformed every surface. Large-format prints, including a Barbie-inspired wall and exterior building graphics, amplified the impact. From start to finish, the project came together in just under four weeks, with installation alone requiring several weeks of tightly coordinated on-site execution.
The finished project delivered a fully immersive entertainment experience—a hybrid restaurant and mini golf environment unlike anything in Fayetteville. By layering foam sculptures, wood fabrication, and full-surface graphics, the space was transformed into a destination that delights visitors at every turn. Group Therapy’s themed environment elevated customer engagement with Instagram-worthy backdrops and sculptural moments, blending play and dining in a unified, branded setting. The project proved the power of integrating fabrication, scenic design, and print to create a high-energy entertainment space. The result was an 18-hole mini golf restaurant concept that brought Group Therapy’s playful brand to life—floor to ceiling, inside and out.
